About the Extrapolate User Interface
The Extrapolate user interface consists of:

The Feature Icon
To access the Extrapolate tool, select a leaf node on the Geometry and Topology Structure Tree and click Edit > Extrapolate on the Import DataDoctor ribbon tab. You can also select the relevant geometry, right-click, and access this tool as a shortcut menu option.
The Extrapolate Tab
The Extrapolate tab consists of:
—Lets you accept the changes that you made to the surface using the Extrapolate tool.
—Lets you reject the changes that you made to the surface using the Extrapolate tool and quit the tool.
Tabs on the Extrapolate Tool
The Extrapolate User Interface consists of the Options tab. This tab has the following options:
Make closed—Extrapolates the selected periodic surface to make it closed. For example, making a partial cylinder into a full, 360-degree cylinder.
Make Opened—Extrapolates the selected periodic surface to make it open. For example, making a 360 degree revolved surface with only two boundaries, that is, top and bottom into a 180 degree revolved surface with four boundaries.
