Viewing Sensor Data
Use the Sensor Data View dialog box to view the state of sensor parameter values in the model and run analysis for calculated sensors. When you load a sensor data file the parameter values appear in the table. The values in the table appear as they appear in the CSV file. When you load data from the Creo Product Insight for ThingWorx Extension, the parameter values appear in the table. Click Run to update the parameters in your design.
A model should have either regular parameters or series parameters for the table to represent the data properly. You can only publish a model that has one type of parameter.
To open the Sensor Data View dialog box, click Tools > View Data. The dialog box opens to display the sensors and parameters in the model, or a sensor with a series parameter when one is defined in the model.
Applying the Table Data to the Model
The Entry state parameter is the current value for the parameter after loading parameter values or running an analysis.
1. To apply input parameters and regenerate selected rows in the list, click Run.
2. To apply input parameters and regenerate all rows, click the arrow next to Run and click Run All.
3. To export the values to a file, click Export to csv. The Export data table to comma-separated values dialog box opens to your current working directory. Click OK to save the file. You can change the directory and file name before you save the file.
4. To export the parameter values to the server, click the arrow next to Export to csv and click Export to server. A confirmation dialog box opens as you are replacing data on the server.
Calculating Series Parameter Values
When your model only has series parameters as inputs and outputs, more than one regeneration may be needed. Set the sensor_dataview_max_regen_tries configuration option to 2 to automatically regenerate the model again. Series parameters are used for emulation of Table Motors linking the Motor feature with a sensor parameter. Use the Sensor Data View dialog box to update parameter in your design values from a CSV file or from the Creo Product Insight for ThingWorx Extension.
1. To run an analysis for the series parameters, click Run.
2. To export the sensor series parameter values to a file, click Export to csv. The Export data table to comma-separated values dialog box opens to your current working directory. Click OK to save the file. You can change the directory and file name before you save the file.
