To Save a Copy of an Inheritance Feature
You can save a copy of an inheritance feature as a new part that captures the current state of the reference part plus modifications you make to the copy as defined by varied items.
1. In the Model Tree, right-click an inheritance feature, and then choose Save source model from the shortcut menu. The Save Inheritance Model dialog box opens.
2. In the New Name box, type a name for the new model.
3. Click OK.
