To Replace a Component with an Instance from its Family Table

Assembly Design > Using Assembly > Working with Assemblies > Assembly Family Tables > To Replace a Component with an Instance from its Family Table

1. Right-click a component in the Model Tree and choose

or click Operations >

Replace. The Replace dialog box opens.

Alternatively, select the component in the Model Tree or graphics window, right-click, and choose Replace. The Replace dialog box opens. Family Table is selected by default in the Replace By list.

2. Select the component that you want to replace with an instance from its family table.

You can select multiple components to be replaced with the new component or instances.

3. Click

. The Family Tree dialog box opens.

4. Select the required family table instance and click OK. The model is regenerated and the selected component is replaced with the family table instance.
