To Apply Constraints During a Dragging Operation
1. Click Drag Components. The Drag dialog box opens.
2. Click Snapshots and select a snapshot from the snapshots list. The name appears in the Current Snapshot text box.
3. Click the Constraints tab and then click one of the following options to create a temporary constraint:
—Select two points, two lines, or two planes. The entities remain aligned during the dragging operation.
—Select two planes. The planes remain mated during the dragging operation.
—Select two planes to orient at an angle to each other.
—Select a motion axis to specify motion axis position. You can define multiple constraints for the same motion axis. However, only one can be enabled at any given time.
—Select bodies to be locked together.
—Select a connection. The connection is disabled.
4. Click or clear a constraint check box. This enables or disables the constraint.
5. Click to assemble the model using your temporary constraints. Enter the offset value for any mate or align constraints. Enter a value for angle or distance, if you have chosen an orientation constraint.
6. Drag a point or body. The specified constraints are applied.
