To Edit a Part Feature
1. In an open assembly, select the part in the Model Tree or graphics window and choose Activate from the shortcut menu to edit, create, delete, and suppress part features. The Copy From command is not available.
2. Perform one or more of the following operations:
Use the commands in the Operations group to copy or reorder a feature.
Use the commands in the Cut & Surface group to add a feature to the part.
Right-click a part feature in the Model Tree or graphics window and choose from the shortcut menu to modify the feature dimensions. You can also double-click a feature in the active part to display its dimensions.
Right-click the part in the Model Tree and click .
To control creation of external references, click File > Prepare > Model Properties. The Model Properties dialog box opens. Click change in the Reference Control line. The External Reference Control dialog box opens.
Click Reference Viewer or select the feature in the Model Tree and click Information > Reference Viewer to open the Reference Viewer dialog box and display references and dependencies.
 
* When you create part features at the assembly level, be careful not to create unwanted parent/child relationships between the part and the assembly.
