To Configure SDNF Interface Section Names
Different systems use different section naming and section orientation formats. These must be translated and reoriented during SDNF data import or export. Section name translation and reorientation is defined in the sdnf_section_translation.txt file, located in the configuration directory. The file is a table with 9 columns separated by tabs as shown below:
Column 1 shows the section names. They are in the BUW_SIZE profile parameters or the library steel profile size tables (<section_name>.tab), located in the parts/profiles/steel_profiles_mm or parts/profiles/steel_profiles_inch subdirectories.
Column 2 displays section output rotation angles.
Column 3 sets the X-axis output mirror (1/0 = y/n).
Column 4 sets the Y-axis output mirror (1/0 = y/n).
Column 5 sets receiving system section names.
Column 6 displays the part/profile library subdirectories.
Column 7 displays the profile library which contains the section.
Column 8 displays the IMPORT_TYPE parameter value in the <profile name>.tab table for the section type.
Column 9 displays the BUW_SIZE parameter value in the <profile name>.tab table for the section size.
When configuring this translation file for export, you usually need to configure the section names only in column 5. To configure the section translation file for import, you must configure the section names in column 5 and in some cases, in columns 6-9.
