What is the benefit of this enhancement?
With this enhancement, you can create modal studies to generate designs based on the frequency modes. Simulation results can be displayed after an optimization to see the response of the part at natural frequencies.
The designs can be generated with either of the following objectives:
• Maximize the fundamental frequency at a target volume percent or mass.
• Minimize the mass at a floor fundamental frequency.
This enhancement is useful when you want to generate designs that eliminate the risk of failure due to resonant frequencies that the part might encounter.
Previously, designs could only be generated based on the structural load cases. Now, you can also generate designs based on frequency responses.
This enhancement allows you to generate lightweight parts with an optimized frequency response.
