Analyses and Design Studies Dialog Box
When you click > , the Analyses and Design Studies dialog box opens. Use this dialog box to manage and run your analyses and design studies.
The Analyses and Design Studies dialog box includes the following:
• Menu bar—Perform the following tasks using the options on the menu bar:
◦ Create new analyses and design studies using the options available on the
File menu.
◦ Modify existing analyses and design studies using the > option. You can also copy or delete analyses or design studies using the options on the
Edit menu.
◦ Modify settings for the
analysis using the > menu option or click
on the toolbar.
◦ Use > to
compress and store the results of an analysis to
Windchill with the file extension
.mrs.
◦ Check your model for errors before you start a run by using the > menu option.
◦ Start or stop analyses and design studies using the commands on the
Run menu or the buttons on the toolbar.
◦ Monitor the status of a run and view its detailed summary using the > menu option.
◦ Review the shape change history of your model for an optimization study using the > menu option. You can use Optimize History to overwrite your Creo Parametric part with the optimized shape developed in Creo Simulate.
◦ Display result windows for a selected analysis or design study using items on the
Results menu.
• Toolbar—Use the toolbar buttons to perform many of the functions available on the menu bar.
• Analyses and Design Studies Table—Lists the name and type of analyses and design studies for the current model. To perform an action on a specific analysis or design study, highlight it in the list and select the action from the options on the menus or use the toolbar buttons. You can also access these commands in the drop-down menu that appears when you right-click.
The following icons indicate running the status of the analysis and design studies:
—running
—run failed
—run completed
—run stopped
• Description—Displays a description, if available, of the analysis or design study you select from the list.
Closing the dialog box does not initiate any actions.
