Save Options in Creo Simulate Results
You can save the results windows to restore analyses results and add to your work session. You can also use result windows as templates for developing additional result windows for multiple models.
Use one of the following commands on the File tab to save your result definitions:
• Save—Saves the current set of result definitions and their associated views in a .rwd file on your local disk. The Save a Backup dialog box opens the first time you click > to save the set of windows you defined in the current session. Use the Save a Backup dialog box to select a directory and name the file. If the result windows displayed were previously saved to a named .rwd file, Creo Simulate saves them to the same .rwd file.
If you click > when working online or offline with an active Windchill workspace, the results are saved to the workspace with the compressed .mrs format and the date and time appended to the name of the file.
• Save As
◦ Save a Copy—Opens the Save a Copy dialog box when you click > > . This option is available only when you are working online or offline with an active workspace. You can save the results directory and the associated views as .mrs, or .mrp file formats with a different name. You can save the files only to your workspace which is the default directory.
◦ Save a Backup—Opens the Save a Backup dialog box when you click > > . You can save the current set of result definitions and the associated views to your local disk. You can use the Save a Backup dialog box to select a directory, name the result definitions and save the results in different formats.
Regardless of the approach you use,
Creo Simulate includes paths for the study directories referenced by the result windows in the
.rwd file.
Creo Simulate uses a relative path when it writes this information to the
.rwd file. You can instead instruct
Creo Simulate to use
sim_pp_path_absolute configuration option and specify an absolute path.
You can use one of the
load commands to retrieve a set of saved windows.
