Components for Ball Connection Reaction Measures
A ball connection allows rotation in any direction with no linear movement. When a ball connection is used as a component for a connection reaction measure, you can choose to measure the Total force, or Force X, Force Y, or Force Z.
The direction of the X, Y and Z components is determined by the LCS of the first or the second rigid body as selected in the Expressed in list in the Definition dialog box (see illustration).
When an X, Y or Z component is selected, the rigid body LCS of the selected rigid body is displayed at its ball point, so that the X, Y, or Z direction is visible.
| These forces are also displayed at the ball point when you run the analysis playback. |
