Units in Creo Ansys Simulation
When you create a model in Creo Parametric you can also assign units to individual components and the top assembly. When you run a simulation study in Creo Ansys Simulation you must be aware of the following:
• The solver only supports five units for length. Convert the units of length for your model to one of the following units of length before you set up a simulation study:
◦ meter
◦ centimeter
◦ millimeter
◦ inch
◦ foot
• Individual components in an assembly must all use the same units of length as the solver does not support mixed units of length. If the model contains mixed units of length, when you open the model and first launch Creo Ansys Simulation you are prompted to convert all units of length to the units of the top assembly.
