Importing Simulation Objects from Other Simulation Tools to Creo Ansys Simulation
Models with studies and simulation objects created in Creo Simulation Live open directly in Creo Ansys Simulation with the defined simulation objects.
Models with Creo Simulate and Creo Generative Design analyses can also be imported into Creo Ansys Simulation.
To Import a Creo Simulate Study to Creo Ansys Simulation
1. Click Ansys Simulation > Add Study > Import Study. TheImport Existing Simulations dialog box opens.
2. The Import Existing Simulations dialog box displays all Creo Simulate analyses in the model. Select the check box next to the analyses that you want to import. The supported analysis types are structural, modal and steady-state thermal analyses.
3. Click OK. The imported analyses are displayed on the Simulation Tree along with their associated simulation objects. Simulation objects that are not supported are not imported to Creo Ansys Simulation.
*
For release 7.0.2.0 Creo Ansys Simulation only recognizes constraints, boundary condition, loads, masses and material assignments imported from Creo Simulate. All other simulation objects are ignored.
