To Create a Planar Wall
1. Click Sheetmetal > Planar. The Planar tab opens.
2. The References tab is open by default.
3. Click Define. The Sketch dialog box opens. Select sketch references and click Sketch.

When you are using an external sketch, click Unlink to break the association between the sketch feature and the wall sketch. For more information about external sketches, search the Help Center.
4. Create a closed loop sketch and click OK to accept the sketch.
5. Type a value for the wall thickness or accept the default value. You can set thickness only for the first planar wall, which sets the thickness for all other walls.
6. To flip the wall thickness, click .
7. To set options for merging an additional wall to the model, click Options. The Options tab opens.
To set options for merging an additional wall to the model, set the options below:
Select Merge to model to merge the wall to an existing wall in the design. You now have the option to keep the edges of merged geometry and edges of bend surfaces. This option is not available for a first wall.
Select Do not merge to model to keep the new geometry as a distinct piece. You now have the option to flip the driving surface of the sheet metal.
8. Click .
