To Add Hatching Lines
You can add hatching lines to closed sketch sections.
1. Right-click a sketch on the Model Tree, and then click Edit Definition.
2. On the Setup group, click Sketch Setup. The Sketch dialog opens.
3. On the Properties tab, select the Add hatching lines check box.
Optionally, set the following attributes:
Scale—Specify the spacing between hatching lines. The scale value is calculated relative to the sketch outline. Set to 2 by default.
Angle—Specify the angle of hatch pattern. Enter a value between 0 and 180. Set to 45 degrees by default.
4. Click Sketch, and then click OK to save the sketch.
The sketch is repainted and hatching lines appear.
Use the default_sketcher_hatch_spacing detail option to set spacing between the hatching lines in model units. The detail option value is stored in the model and is available when you open the model in another session.
*
The Add hatching lines check box is disabled when the sketch does not contain a closed section.
