To Use User-Defined Parameters
1. Set the mfg_custom_sequence_param_file configuration option to the path where the user-defined parameter file is stored.
2. Open the manufacturing model. Ensure that the active operation references a workcell.
The following workcell types are supported:
◦ Mill
◦ Mill-Turn
◦ Lathe
◦ Wire EDM
3. Create an NC sequence. The user-defined parameters are automatically associated with the NC sequence.
4. Optionally, modify the default values of the user-defined parameters:
a. On the Parameters tab, click 
.
.The User-Defined Parameters dialog box opens. The user-defined parameters with their default values, if any, for the workcell as defined in the user-defined parameters XML file are loaded.
b. Edit the values of the user-defined parameters per your requirement.
5. Complete the NC sequence and save the manufacturing model.
The user-defined parameters XML file and the user-defined parameters are stored with the manufacturing model.
