To Create a Mill Window
1. Click Manufacturing > Mill Window. The Mill Window tab opens.
2. Click the appropriate icon to indicate the type of Mill Window that you want to create. You can create a silhouette window type (), sketch window (), or a chain window ().
3. Select the following options on the Placement tab:
Window Plane
—Select the start plane for the Mill Window in the graphics window or on the Model Tree.

The Window Plane collector on the Placement tab is active by default.
Silhouette Reference Model
—Displays the reference part used to create the silhouette.
Keep Inside Loops
—Select this check box to keep the loops (through cuts or holes) of the reference part used to create the silhouette.
4. Select the start plane for the Mill Window in the graphics window or on the Model Tree.
5. On the Depth tab, specify the depth of the Mill Window using the available options. See About the Mill Window User Interface for details.
6. On the Options tab, specify the type of window contour for the Mill Window. You can stretch or shrink the Mill Window geometry by specifying an offset value and direction. You can also specify the geometry type for the Mill Window using the options on this tab. See About the Mill Window User Interface for details.
7. Click to create the Mill Window.
