To Compute a Stock Model
During different stages of a design process, you can compute a single stock model or all stock models on demand for updating them to the most recent state.
To compute a single stock model:
1. In the footer of the Model Tree, select a stock model. A mini toolbar appears.
2. Select Update Stock Model on the mini toolbar.
*
If a stock model has dependency on the parent stock model, the computation of the stock model also includes computation of the parent stock model.
To compute all stock models:
1. In the footer of the Model Tree, select any stock model.
2. Right-click and select Update All Stock Models.
Alternatively, click Manufacturing Geometry > Update All Stock Models on any of the following tabs to update all stock models:
Manufacturing
Mill
Turn
Wire EDM
*
You can select any stock model and then update all created stock models using Update All Stock Models.
If you make any changes to a part or an assembly, it is recommended to regenerate the manufacturing model and compute the toolpath before updating a stock model or all stock models. To regenerate the manufacturing model and compute the toolpath, click Manufacturing > Regenerate and then select the Compute CL command from the REGEN TYPE menu.
