To Insert a Holemaking Step
1. To insert a new Holemaking step in a Process Table, you have to be in a Process view. You also have to have at least one operation defined in the process.
2. Select the line in the Process Table where you want to insert the new step and click . The Create Holemaking Step dialog box opens.
3. Type the name of the new Holemaking step in the Name box.
4. Select one of the following types of the Holemaking step:
STANDARD DRILLING
WEB DRILLING
BREAKCHIP
FACE DRILL
BORE
BACK BORE
BACK COUNTERSINK
COUNTERSINK
REAM
CUSTOM DRILL
TAP( FLOATING )
TAP( FIXED )
DEEP DRILLING( CONST PECK )
DEEP DRILLING( VAR PECK )
5. Select either Mill or Turn for the holemaking step in the Mode box. This option is available only for workcells of type Mill/Turn. The default mode is Mill and if you have not specified a milling head the mode is Turn.
6. If required, select the number of axes in the Axis box.
7. If you select Mill, choose Head1 or Head2 in the Head box to specify the milling head for the holemaking step (Head1 is the default).
8. If you select Turn, choose Head1 or Head2 in the Head box to specify the turning head for the holemaking step.
9. Click OK. Creo NC inserts a new step line below the selected line in the Process Table.
10. Click on the toolbar below the Process Table. The tab for the selected holemaking type opens.
