About the Annotate Tab
The Annotate tab consists of groups of commands that you can use to create and modify tables and annotations.
Insert Group
Use the Insert commands to insert dimensions, notes, symbols, and tables to a layout.
Dimension
Dimension—Creates linear or angular dimensions.
Ordinate Dimension—Creates ordinate dimensions.
Note
Unattached Note—Adds a note independent of a reference.
Offset Note—Adds a note offset from a reference.
On Item Note—Adds a note to a reference.
Leader Note
Leader Note—Adds a note with a leader.
Tangent Leader Note—Adds a note with a leader tangent to an element.
Normal Leader Note—Adds a note normal to an element.
Symbol
Custom Symbol—Inserts a custom symbol.
Symbol From Palette—Inserts a symbol from the palette.
Table—Creates tables. Click Table to display table commands:
Insert Table—Adds a table by specifying the number of rows and columns.
Table From File—Browse to a saved table.
Quick Tables—Displays table templates to insert.
Table Editing Group
Select Table—Use these commands to select a row, column, or table for an operation.
Select Table—Selects the table with the selected cell.
Select Column—Selects the column with the selected cell.
Select Row—Selects the row with the selected cell.
Save Table
Save as Table—Saves as a table file.
Save as CSV—Saves a table as a .csv file.
Save as Text—Saves a table as a .txt file.
Add Column—Adds a column to a table.
Add Row—Adds a row to a table.
Merge Cells
Merge Cells—Merges selected cells into a single cell.
Unmerge Cells—Restores cells to their original size.
Height and Width—Adjusts the height and width of rows and columns.
Line Display—Displays or hides cell boundary lines.
Table Editing
Move Special—Moves a selected table to a selected point.
Rotate—Rotates the table 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Set Rotation Origin—Defines a corner reference for rotating tables.
