About Importing Data
You can import data to use as the basis of a new layout or to update an existing design. Any association between the imported data and the source model is broken when the data is imported. For assembly cross sections, you must decide how the assembly component names are copied to the layout structure.
You can import the following types of data into a layout:
Cross sections from Creo Parametric parts or assemblies.
Data from Creo Parametric drawings, including their dimensions, notes, tables, and symbols.
2D geometry and data from other file formats.
Images.
