To Set Orientation Preferences
1. Click > > . The View dialog box opens.
2. On the Orientation sub-tab, in the Type box, select Preferences to set the preferences for default Spin Center and Orientation.
3. Under Spin Center, select one of the following references to define spin center:
◦ Model center—The spin center is at the center of the model.
◦ Screen center—The spin center is at the center of the screen.
◦ Point or vertex—The spin center is at the selected point or vertex.
◦ Edge or axis—The spin center is at the selected edge or axis.
◦ Coordinate system—The spin center is at the selected coordinate system.
4. Under Default Orientation, set the orientation to Isometric, Trimetric, or create a User Defined orientation.
5. To save the view, type a name in the
View Name box and click
. Click
Saved Orientations to open the list of saved orientations. The new saved view is listed.
6. To change the default orientation, in the
Saved Orientations list, click
Default Orientation and click
. The
Confirmation dialog box opens.
7. Click Yes to override the default orientation with the newly defined orientation.
8. Click OK.
