To Create a Swept Segment
1. Click > .
2. Click the arrow next to
Sweep and then click
Sweep. The
Sweep tab opens.
3. The References tab is open by default. Select a trajectory for the sweep.
4. Under
Section click
Sketch and define or edit a sketch in Sketcher.
5. For a first segment, type a value for the segment thickness or accept the default value. You can set thickness only for the first segment, which sets the thickness for all other segments.
6. To remove material along a sweep, click
Remove Material.
7. Click
Constant Section to create a constant section swept segment or click
Variable Section to create a variable section swept segment.
8. To set board-specific options, click Options. The Options tab opens. Perform any of the following operations:
◦ Click Add bends on sharp edges to round sharp edges when the sketch includes nontangent geometry. Set the value of the radius and the location for dimensioning the radius.
◦ Click Set driving surface opposite swept surface to flip the driving surface. Use this option when the segment is not a first segment.
◦ Click Merge to model to merge the segment with intersecting segments.
To keep the new segment edges from merging with existing intersecting segments, click Keep merged edges.
