Editing— Use the commands in this group to define the scale, proportion, angle, and color of the selected hatch lines. The changes made will not affect non-selected hatch lines.
— Changes the rotation angle of the selected hatch lines. Click to reset the rotation settings of selected patterns, as defined by the hatch pattern definition file. In the rotation box, the difference in values for rotation angles available in the spin box is based on the pre-defined angle interval. You can use hatch_pattern_rotation_interval configuration option to define the value of the angle interval. You can also use the mini tool bar to rotate the patterns.
— Changes the scale value of the selected pattern. This function is not available for XCH patterns. Click to reset the scale value for the selected patterns, as defined by the hatch_pattern_cfg_file.
The scale command is dimmed, and no selection is available when:
Multiple patterns with different scale values are selected.
Selected section is a XCH pattern or a mix of XCH and PAT patterns.
— Specifies the distance for shifting the hatch pattern in horizontal direction. The change in position of the pattern will be relevant to its initial setting. Click to reset the translation values of the selected patterns, as defined by the hatch pattern definition file.
This command is not available for XCH patterns.
— Specifies the distance for shifting the hatch pattern in vertical direction. The change in position of the pattern will be relevant to its initial setting. Click to reset the translation values of the selected patterns, as defined by the hatch pattern definition file.
This command is not available for XCH patterns.
Color— Changes the color of the selected hatching lines or solid fill.
Inclusion— Includes or excludes components from assembly view and bodies from part view.
Operations— Use the commands in this group to perform different operations on the selected hatch patterns.
Copy Hatch— Copies hatch attributes from one hatching pattern to another. You can perform this operation between common bodies or components only.
Use a Solid Hatch— Displays cross-sectional drawing views as filled areas (displayed in solid color) by changing the crosshatch to fill.
Use Material Hatch— Uses hatch pattern from material definition and applies it to selected cross-section.
Use Model Hatch— Copies hatch pattern in model to a hatch pattern in drawing. Attributes like hatch pattern, solid hatch status, angle, color, and translation can be updated with this command.
Click the arrow next to Operations, Convert to PAT—Converts XCH crosshatch pattern to PAT.
Visibility— Hide or show the hatch lines for sections or cross hatches of selected areas for a part, component, or an assembly.
