To Work Online or Offline
You can work offline only if you are using a Windchill server, version 8.0 and later.
1. Click File > Manage Session > Server management. The Server Management dialog box opens.
2. Select a listed server and click Server > Work Offline. The Synchronize Workspaces dialog box opens.

If you set the dm_offline_options_activated configuration option to no, the Synchronize, Download, and Upload check boxes are not selected by default.
3. Click the appropriate check box to synchronize your workspace with the content on the server. The Creo application downloads the required content (ignoring the current cache threshold limit) for only those workspace items that have been linked to the server.
The Status column in the Servers pane of the Server Management dialog box displays the status of the server as Offline.
To return to an online server, select a server that is currently offline and click Server > Work Offline. If the server is available, you are reconnected to it and the Status column value on the Server Management dialog box changes to Online.

If the Synchronize, Download, and Upload check boxes are not selected, the workspace takes relatively less time to go online or offline.
The Creo application informs you if the server is unavailable, and the server status remains Offline.
If reconnection is successful, you must synchronize your workspace to bring the local cache up to date with any changes that may have occurred on the server.
You may also need to rename items that were created while the workspace was offline.
