To Check Screw Fasteners for Screw or Thread Length
The functionality described in this procedure requires a Creo Intelligent Fastener paid license which provides additional functionality to the Creo Intelligent Fastener tools that are included in Creo Parametric.
1. Click > > . The Check Screw Fasteners dialog box opens and a list of screw fasteners appears. Problematic fasteners are displayed with icons. The icons for problematic screws are described in the table below:
Screw is too short
|
Screw is too long
|

![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_long_1_2_1.png) — #ETSCR MAX is exceeded. |
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_short_1_1_2.png) — #ETSCR MIN not fulfilled. |
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_long_1_2_2.png) —Exceeds plate thickness. |
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_short_2_1_1.png) —Not connected with a nut. |
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_long_1_2_3.png) —Thread length is too short. |
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_short_2_1_2.png) — #MUSCR MIN not fulfilled. |
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_long_1_2_4.png) —Thread depth exceeded. |
|
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_long_2_2_2.png) —Thread length is too short. |
|
![](../../assembly/intelligent_fastener/images/ifx_scr_too_long_2_2_1.png) — #MUSCR MAX is exceeded. |
|
You can enter the MIN and MAX values for #ETSCR and #MUSCR in the configuration file ifx_screw_data.cfg.
