To Resolve a Missing Component Problem
When a missing component cannot be retrieved, you can find and retrieve it. When the missing component was renamed or copied with a different name, you can find the correct model and replace it in the assembly.

After recovering from the error, save the new version of the assembly before exiting.
Retrieving a Missing Component with the Same Name
1. Right-click the component in the Model Tree and choose Retrieve Missing Component. The File Open dialog box opens.
2. Browse to the directory with the component, select it and click Open. The component is assembled.

When the placement references are missing the Component Placement tab opens. Select placement references and click .
Retrieving a Missing Component with a Different Name
When the missing component was renamed or copied with a different name, you can find the correct model and replace it in the assembly.
1. Right-click the component in the Model Tree and choose Retrieve Missing Component. The File Open dialog box opens.
2. Browse to the directory with the component, select it and click Open. A warning message appears.
3. Click OK when you are sure this is the same component. The component is assembled using the same constraints.
