To Customize Regeneration
Follow this procedure after making a change to a feature in your assembly.
1. To initiate custom regeneration, click Regenerate > Regeneration Manager. The Regeneration Manager dialog box opens. The Regeneration List shows the components and features in the assembly that need regeneration.
2. To set preferences for regeneration click Preferences.
To create a backup model before regeneration click Create Backup Models
Set a Mass Properties Handling option:
Automatic Update—Updates mass properties automatically on regeneration.
Report Outdateness—Report outdated mass properties
By Request—Prompts to update mass properties on regeneration.
Check Upon Save—Prompt when saving if there are no mass properties calculated.
3. To search for a specific component or feature, type the name in the search box and press ENTER. The item highlights in the list.
4. By default, all components and features that need regeneration are selected. Clear the component check box to prevent regeneration.

When you select a component, all parts and features within that component are selected.
5. Click and than click Check All or Uncheck All to select or not select all items for regeneration.
Columns—Sets the display of the Status and Description columns.
Expand All—Expands all the branches in the tree.
Expand To Selected—Expands all nodes in the tree to the first selected branch.
Collapse All—Collapses all the branches in the tree.
Check All—Selects all the nodes in the tree.
Uncheck All—Clears selection of all the nodes in the tree.
Save Tree—Saves the tree preferences you set as a text file.
6. To set the display of the tree, click Show and click or clear one or more of the following check boxes:
Check All—Displays all the nodes in the tree.
Checked—Displays only the selected nodes in the tree.
Unchecked—Displays only nodes that are not selected in the tree.
7. Click Save Preferences to save your configurations and close the dialog box.
8. Click Regenerate. The selected items are regenerated.
