To Create Cosmetic Offset Lines
1. Open the Explode Tool Tab from the Model tab, the View tab or the View Manager dialog box.
2. Click , or click Explode Lines and then click . The Cosmetic Offset Line dialog box opens with the Reference 1 box activated.
3. Select a point on a surface or an edge for the first endpoint. The Reference 2 box is activated.
4. Select a point on a surface or an edge on another component for the second endpoint.
5. Click Apply. The line is created and the Reference 1 box is reactivated.
6. Repeat steps 3–5 for each offset line that you want to create.
7. Click Close.
8. To group offset lines in the Model Tree, select the offset lines you want to include in the group, right-click and select Group. The selected offset lines are contained in the new group. When all offset lines in the group are deleted, the group container is also deleted.
