A configurable module contains simplified representations similar to other assemblies. In addition it contains a Representative Module Variant simplified representation. This simplified representation contains a system rule with the condition REPRESENTATIVE_SOLUTION_RULE. This condition excludes all components other than the representative component. You can assemble all configurable modules in configurable products in a specific representation. Use the assemble_module_in_rep configuration option. The Representative Module Variant is the default simplified representation.
