When you define simplified representations using the available filters and rules, a default description is automatically created. To view the description, add the Description column to the View Manager tabs. Click Options > Show Description or make sure the show_description_view_mgr configuration option to yes. The descriptions also display as tool tips in the Open Rep dialog box.

When you modify a default description or define a description for a user-defined simplified representation, a model note is automatically created. The note is visible in the Model Tree when you display annotations.
