About Result Display Options
Use these options to control the results display.
bmgr_pref_file
Specifies the path to a
text file that controls the default settings for your graphs.
sim_html_report_prefs_file
Specifies the name and location of an HTML Preferences File. Use this file to specify the format of HTML report of the results.
sim_pp_background_color
Specifies the background color of the work area for the results display. The values are as follows:
• proe*
• blue
• black
• white
sim_pp_display_spin_center
Customizes the orientation of your model in the result window by controlling the default spin center setting. By default, the configuration option is set to yes and the model spins about the center of the model. If the configuration option is set to no, the model spins about the location that you have defined by middle-clicking.
• yes*
• no
sim_pp_legend_continuous
Specifies whether the fringes are displayed in continuous tone or discrete colors. By default, the configuration option is set to no and fringes are displayed in discrete colors. If you want to display the fringes in continuous tones by default, set the configuration option to yes.
• no*
• yes
sim_pp_legend_levels
Specifies the default value for the legend levels. You can change the default legend levels value of 9 to a value from 1 through 16. For Fringe and Vector plots, you can specify any number from 2 through 15. For Contour plots, you can specify any number from 1 through 16.
sim_pp_legend_show
Specifies whether the legend is displayed in the result window. By default, the configuration option is set to yes and the legend is displayed in the results window. If you do not want to display the legend in the result window by default, set the configuration option to no.
• yes*
• no
sim_pp_legend_show_min_max
Specifies whether minimum and maximum values are displayed on the legend in the result window. By default, the configuration option is set to yes and the minimum and maximum values appear in gray on the legend. If you want to clear the minimum and maximum values by default, set the configuration option to no.
• yes*
• no
sim_pp_legend_spectrum
Specifies the default legend spectrum for the result window definition. The value is the name of the color spectrum. By default, the application looks for the spectrum .rld file in the current working directory or in a directory specified by the SIM_PP_TEMPLATE_DIR configuration option.
sim_pp_linked_results
Use this configuration option to link the compressed results files (.mrs and .mrp file formats) in Windchill to the reference model for which these results are obtained. When this option is Yes, Creo Simulate checks whether the reference model in session is checked in to the Windchill server and the connected session of Creo Simulate is in online or offline mode. By default, the configuration option is set to Yes.
• yes*
• no
sim_pp_path_absolute
Controls whether an absolute path is used for study directories when a .rwd file is written for results. When you create an .rwd file, the results windows currently defined in the results session are included. Further, it includes path information that indicates where the study directories for the results windows are located. The path for the study directories can be either absolute or relative, depending on how you set this configuration option.
If you set this option to yes, absolute paths are used for study directories when the .rwd file is written. When you set the option to no, relative paths are written in the .rwd file. If you use this configuration option, you should be sure you have a thorough understanding of your operating environment and sharing needs. Setting this option to no can be beneficial if you plan to share the entire file structure with another location or plan to move the file set in the future. The value types are as follows:
• yes
• no*
sim_pp_show_cap_cut_outline
Use this configuration option to turn off the display of the model outline when viewing cutting and capping surfaces in a results window. Set this option to no to turn off the display of the model outline in the results window.
• yes*
• no
sim_pp_struct_avg_res
Use this configuration option which is available in native mode for structure models only, to display the average values of result quantities at locations where two elements in your model meet.
• no*
• yes
sim_pp_template_dir
Specifies the directory for the results template files. The value is the path to the directory.
sim_pp_vector_plot_arrow_2d
Use this configuration option to display 2D arrows instead of 3D arrows while using Vectors Display type in a results window. Set this option to yes when the system memory is not enough to display 3D vector arrows.
• no*
• yes
sim_pp_vrml_export_format
Specifies the VRML export format when exporting VRML reports:
• vrml2.0*
• vrml1.0
sim_pp_vrml_feature_edges
Specifies that the VRML file will represent feature edges. By default, no feature edges are represented in the VRML file. The value types are as follows:
• no*
• yes
sim_pp_display_beam_thickness
Specifies the thickness of beams and 2D shells displayed in the postprocessor. Numeric values specify the thickness in pixels. The default thickness is 5 pixels. The values are as follows:
• actual
• 1
• 2
• 3
• 4
• 5*
|
In FEM mode, actual takes the value of three pixels. Otherwise, actual is calculated as the square root of cross-sectional area of the beam.
