Example: Beam Releases on Composite Curves
A composite curve is a curve that is made up of more than one segment, such as those that can be defined with the Sketcher. You can apply beam releases to the ends of individual segments of a composite curve.
Consider the following curves created as a single feature in Creo Parametric. The curve AC is a composite curve comprising individual segments AB and BC.
Suppose you select the composite curve AC and the curve DE and
apply beam releases R1 and R2 at the start and end of the curves.
If you do not select Releases at ends of composite curve segments in the Beam Definition dialog box, the configuration of the beams is as follows:
