To Create a Projection Point
By using the Projection option, you can create a Constructed Point by projecting a point onto a plane or a line.
1. Click > 
Point. The CMM Construct tab opens.
Point. The CMM Construct tab opens.2. Select the parent reference Csys from the Parent Csys drop-down list.
3. Select Projection from the Type drop-down list.
4. Select 2 measure or construct steps in the following order:
a. First, select a measure or construct step to be projected. It can be of the following types:
▪ Point
▪ Circle (center)
▪ Cone (cone vertex)
▪ Sphere (center)
b. Select a measure or construct step of type line or plane. The system creates a new point by projecting the reference point in the direction normal to the selected line or plane onto this line or plane.
5. Click OK.
