To Create a Separate Surface Using Automatic Selection of Contours
1. Click Refine Model > Regions > Separate Surface Region. The Separate Surface Region tab opens.
2. Click to select contours automatically.
3. Click the Placement tab.
4. Click the Surface to separate collector and select a solid surface or quilt to split.
5. Click the Contours collector and select contours to exclude from the Separate Surface region feature.
6. Click the Options tab and select an option:
To create multiple Separate Surfaces, one for each contour included in the Separate Surface region feature, select For each selected contour separately.
To create one Separate Surface from all the contours included in the Separate Surface region feature, select For all selected contours together.
7. Click . A Separate Surface region feature is created. You can work on it independent of the original surface.
