What is the benefit of this enhancement?
The Freestyle Align function has been improved, resulting in a higher quality surfaces.
Now the vertices no longer behave like a vertex creases by forcing the geometry vertices to align with the control mesh vertices. A geometry vertex position is determined by its location with respect to the align reference curve, resulting in an optimal smooth surface. This minimizes the geometry from overlapping with aligned curve that produces a concave shape.
This improves the overall quality of Freestyle surfaces aligned to reference curves.
This enhancement vastly improves the reconstruction process in Generative Design. It improves the overall quality of Freestyle geometry, resulting in a higher success rate for reconstruction and merging. It reduces potential high stress areas when analysed in simulation tools such as Creo Simulation Live.
