New Note Tokens for Patterned Holes
The pattern number callouts in Hole features have been enhanced for increased standard compliance.
User Interface Location: Click Model > Hole.
Release: Creo Parametric 8.0.0.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
The new hole note callout tokens allow you to better differentiate the hole note formatting between the single holes and patterned holes when you are using hole notes in drawings and MBD.
New tokens:
HOLE_INSTANCE_COUNT (number of instances as in PATTERN_NO)
HOLE_INSTANCE_LEFT_BRACKET (evaluates to “(“)
HOLE_INSTANCE_RIGHT_BRACKET (evaluates to “)”)
HOLE_INSTANCE_HYPHEN_SYMBOL (evaluates to “-”)
HOLE_INSTANCE_X_SYMBOL (evaluates to “x”)
HOLE_INSTANCE_SPACE (evaluates to “ “)
The tokens evaluate to real values when:
The Hole feature placement is based on a sketch and results in more than one hole instances.
The Hole feature is a pattern leader.
Previously, the hole notes used to call out a pattern with an instance count of “(1)” even without a pattern. This was not standards compliant.
This enhancements improves compliance to MBD and drawing standards.
