Cabin Radiation with Convection and Radiation: Exercise 3—Assigning Boundary Conditions
For boundary conditions, the fluid behavior and properties are specified at all bounding surfaces of the fluid domain.
Specifying Inner Walls Boundary Conditions
1. Under Boundary Conditions, select Inner_walls.
2. In the Model tab, for Heat, select the following values for the options listed:
HeatConvection/Radiation
OptionsConvection/Radiation
Exchange Coefficient — 100 W/m2-K
Emissivity — 1
Specifying Window Boundary Conditions
1. Under Boundary Conditions, select Window.
2. In the Model tab, for Heat, select the following values for the options listed:
HeatConvection/Radiation
OptionsConvection/Radiation
Exchange Coefficient — 200 W/m2-K
Emissivity — 1
3. In the Model tab, for Radiation, select Transparent.
Specifying Volume Conditions
1. To set the fluid, click Materials. The Material Selection dialog box opens. The fluid properties are set automatically when you select a new fluid.
2. For fluid domain OFFICE_ROOM_1_FLUID select air.
3. Under Domains, select OFFICE_ROOM_1_FLUID
4. In the Property Panel, for Density select Ideal Gas Law.
