To Delete Geometry
To delete any type of Style geometry except curve points and curve segments, select the geometry you want to delete, and click 
Style > 
Delete. The selected geometry is deleted.
Style > Delete. The selected geometry is deleted. | If you attempt to delete parent geometry without deleting the children, the children are highlighted, and you are prompted to delete, unlink, or suspend that geometry. |
