Simulation Time
The simulation time is the amount of time that has advanced within the simulation currently being performed. The simulation time is displayed in the results legend. There are certain conditions under which the simulation restarts and the simulation time resets to zero.
When a fluid simulation study is running or paused, the simulation restarts under the following conditions:
• Change in fluid domain geometry, including changing the representation or changing family table instances.
• Updates to the fluid domain list.
• Change in performance option settings.
• Selecting or clearing the Remove Internal Geometry check box.
• Change in the material assignment of the simulated component, part, or domain.
When a transient thermal study is running or paused, the simulation restarts under the following conditions:
• Change in geometry, including changing the representation or changing family table instances.
• Change in performance option settings.
• The specified end time has a value lower than the current solution time.
• Change in the material assignment of the simulated component or part.
