Initial Temperature—Creo Simulation Live
The Initial Temperature boundary condition is only available for time-dependent simulation studies like transient thermal and fluid studies. Use Initial Temperature to set the temperature of selected components at the start of the simulation.
To Create an Initial Temperature Boundary Condition
1. Click Initial Temperature. The Temperature dialog box opens.
2. Specify a Name for the boundary condition or accept the default name. Optionally click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, and the text displayed for the boundary condition.
3. Select components to which you want to apply an initial temperature. Your selection appears in the Components collector.
4. Specify a value for the initial temperature of the selected components in the Temperature box.
5. Click OK to create the boundary condition and save it.
For a fluid study, an initial temperature condition is created when you create a new fluid study. The value of initial temperature is 20 C. However this value is used in the fluid simulation study only if you also create another thermal boundary condition.
