Adjusting the Fringe, Contour, and Vector Legends
You can adjust the appearance and the range of legend values for a fringe, contour, and vector plot using one of the following methods:
• The Edit Legend dialog box
• The right-click menus of the legend located at the right corner of the graphics window
You can adjust the appearance and the range of the legend values as follows:
• Click on the legend values to change the maximum, minimum, or the intermediate values. Intermediate values must lie between the maximum and minimum values. The existing maximum and minimum values of the quantity appear as the default values in the Max and Min fields on the Edit Legend dialog box. They are determined by the analysis or study. Depending on how you set these values, Creo Simulate redistributes the intervening scale.
The maximum and minimum values you specify determine how the shading will be graded for your model. You can use these values to understand how a particular
range of values is distributed across your model.
• Use the
spectrum on the
Edit Legend dialog box to determine the color spectrum of your model and the number of levels the legend contains.
• Use the Scale Between Min/Max check box on the Edit Legend dialog box or right-click the legend and select or clear the Scale Between Min/Max check box to show or hide the intermediate values on the legend. If you clear this check box, you can edit the intermediate legend levels in the Value column.
• Select the
Invert Color Scale check box on the
Edit Legend dialog box or right-click the legend and click the
Invert Color Scale check box to invert the color spectrum.
• Use the Show View Min/Max check box on the Edit Legend dialog box or right-click the legend and select or clear the Show View Min/Max check box to show or hide the minimum and maximum values on the legend.
• Clear the Show Legend check box on the Edit Legend dialog box or right-click the legend and click Hide to hide the legend.
If you adjust the display and the legend using any of the above methods except for the Invert Color Scale check box, you can click Reset to return the legend to its original state.
