Output Steps
Use this area on the Output tab to specify the number of steps in the time or frequency range at which you want results reported.
If you use the default Automatic steps within range, Creo Simulate selects appropriate steps at which to report results but does not calculate full results at any step.
For a dynamic time analysis, you can specify a time range over which you want results reported by specifying a minimum time and maximum time.
For dynamic frequency and dynamic random analyses, you can specify a frequency range by specifying minimum and maximum frequencies.
If you select User-defined output steps, the following items are displayed:
Number of master steps—Specifies the number of master steps at which you want results reported. You can specify up to 999 steps. A row is added to the table for each step. In general, computation time increases with the number of steps.
Full results—Saves full results for selected steps. Available for dynamic time and dynamic frequency analyses only.
User-defined steps—Specifies values for spacing the steps.
Space Equally—Spaces the steps evenly. This button is only available when you click User-defined steps.
—Saves full results for all steps.
—Does not save full results for any of the steps.
Measures output steps per master step—Type a positive number less than or equal to 999. In general, computation time increases with the number of measures output steps. The default is 1.
Include frequency steps from table function—Ensures that the solution includes all the steps in a table input function, not just those that Creo Simulate selects automatically. Available for dynamic frequency and dynamic random analyses only.
