To Create Connection Reaction Measures with a Specific CSYS
You must be on the Measure Results dialog box ( Measures) and have defined a connection reaction measure to follow this procedure.
1. Click . The Measure Definition dialog box opens.
2. Select the Select coordinate system check box to define a specific reference coordinate system for the measure. The force or moment that you can measure for the connection appears in the list under Component.
3. Click under Expressed in and select a CSYS.
4. Select a component from the list. A shaded arrow appears on your model indicating the direction of the selected component.
5. Select Rigid Body 1 or Rigid Body 2 in the Exerted on collector. The rigid body is highlighted, and the reaction force is reported on the rigid body you select.
Rigid Body 1 refers to the first rigid body in the connection. For example, if the two rigid bodies joined by the connection are Ground and Rigid Body 3, Ground is the first rigid body, and Rigid Body 3 is the second rigid body. If the two rigid bodies are Rigid Body 1 and Rigid Body 2, Rigid Body 1 is the first rigid body in the connection. The two rigid bodies associated with each connection are shown in the Model Tree.
6. Select an evaluation method.
7. Click OK.
8. Graph the measure.
