Setting Up an Explode Animation
An explode animation uses the standard explode state functionality as a base for an animation. Follow this procedure to define the way in which the elements of an explode animation will move.
1. Open the model to explode.
2. Click Applications > Animation. The Animation tab opens.
3. Click the arrow next to New Animation.
4. Click Explode. The Define Animation dialog box opens.
5. Click . The Drag dialog box opens.
6. Choose an initial snapshot from the list and click Close.
7. Click OK in the Animation dialog box.
8. Click Key Frame Sequence. The Key Frame Sequence dialog box opens.
9. Select an explode state from the list and click .
10. To create a new explode state, click . The Exploded Views dialog box opens.
11. Click New, click Edit > Edit Position. The Explode Tool tab opens.
12. Define the exploded positions of the components and click . The Exploded Views dialog box opens.
13. Click Close in the Exploded Views dialog box. The new explode state is added to the list in the Key Frame Sequence dialog box.
14. Select an exploded view or the Default Explode from the list.
15. Click Follow explode sequence to add each key frame sequence as needed, then click OK.
16. Click to run the animation.
