Structural Temperature Load—Creo Ansys Simulation
Structural temperature loads allow you to simulate temperature changes over your model. They provide valuable information on how the structure of your model deforms due to a particular temperature change.
To Define a Structural Temperature Load
1. Within a structural simulation study, click Ansys Simulation > Temperature. The Temperature Load dialog box opens.
2. Specify a name for the load, or use the default name. Optionally click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, or the text displayed for the load.
3. Select the reference components, bodies, curves, or quilt surfaces to which you want to apply the temperature load. Your selections appear in the References collector.
4. In the Temperature box, specify a real number, arithmetic expression or parameter name for the temperature at the referenced region.
5. Specify the zero stress temperature of the referenced region in your model. The Reference temperature is the stress-free temperature of the model—it could be room temperature or some other temperature that is the normal or no load temperature of the model. The difference between the load temperature and the reference temperature is the amount of temperature change over the referenced region of the model.
6. Select the units of temperature from the list.
7. Click OK to create and save the load.
