Starting the Creo Ansys Simulation Application
To launch the Creo Ansys Simulation application carry out the following steps:
1. Open an existing model or create a new model using Creo Parametric.
2. Click Applications > Ansys Simulation.
3. The Creo Ansys Simulation Setup dialog box opens. Select the study you want to run from the following options:
Structure
Thermal
Modal
4. Click Next to advance to the next setup screen.
5. For assembly and multi-body models, select Use automatic contacts detection for automatic detection and creation of contact interfaces within your model.
6. Click Next to launch Creo Ansys Simulation
7. Define loads and constraints, assign materials and define connections and idealizations for your study and run a simulation.
If you open a model that has previously saved simulation objects, you can view the status of the various simulation objects in the Simulation Tree.

When launching Creo Ansys Simulation for the first time in a Creo session, the Run button is inactive until the Ansys solver service is available. It can take up to a minute for the Run button to become active.
