Heat Flux Load—Creo Ansys Simulation
Heat flux loads simulate the transmission of a specified amount of heat energy across surfaces, per unit area, per unit time. You can apply heat flux loads to model internal heat generation or flux.
To Define a Heat Flux Load
1. After you create a new thermal simulation study, click Ansys Simulation > Heat Flux. The Heat Flux dialog box opens.
2. Specify a name for the load, or use the default name. Optionally click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, or the text displayed for the load.
3. Select a surface to which you want to apply the heat flux load. The selected surface is displayed in the References collector.
4. Specify a value for Heat Flux to represent heat energy per unit area, per unit time.
5. Select units from the list or accept the default units.
6. Click OK to create the load and save it.
