Heat Flow Load—Creo Ansys Simulation
Heat flow loads simulate local heat sources and sinks for your model. You can apply heat flow loads to both internal and external surfaces of your model. Heat flow simulates the transmission of a specified amount of heat energy, per unit time across surfaces. As a result, heat flow adds or extracts energy to or from a body over time.
To Define a Heat Flow Load
1. After you create a new thermal simulation study, click > . The Heat Flow Load dialog box opens.
2. Specify a name for the load, or use the default name. Optionally click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, or the text displayed for the load.
3. Select surfaces to which you want to apply the heat flow load. Press the CTRL key to select multiple surfaces. Your selections appears in the References collector.
4. Specify a value for Heat Flow that represents heat energy per time. For a steady-state analysis, specify a constant or expression directly into the field. Any expression must resolve to a constant.
5. Select units from the list or accept the default units.
6. Click OK to create the load and save it.
