Frictionless Constraint—Creo Ansys Simulation
A frictionless constraint prevents translational movement normal to the selected references while allowing movement in all other directions. A frictionless constraint can be considered as allowing smooth sliding along the selected reference while preventing any movement normal to the selected reference.
To Define a Frictionless Constraint
1. Within a structural or modal simulation study, click > > . The Frictionless Constraint dialog box opens.
2. Specify a Name for the constraint or accept the default name. Optionally, click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, and the text displayed for the constraint.
3. Select the references to constrain. You can select planar and curved surfaces and edges. The References collector displays your selections.
4. Click OK to create the constraint and save it.
